Fabric and a plan, plus an awesome giveaway

Hello Folks,

I've got my 9yr the dinosaur fabric he wanted, and some great solids to go with it. So now I'm all set for making him a big boy quilt.

I thought I had a plan... but numerous pieces of paper and lots of time fiddling on EQ, and I'm still winging it. I have the dino fabrics cut up. The panel looking piece I got three 15x12" pieces out of, and the other dino fabrics I have a few different sized blocks, fussy cut out. So I'm going to add some of those solid strips to them, and maybe make some patches of solids (like 9patches maybe) and, um... throw it all together. LOL.

I'll show you a few sneek peeks, but you'll have to wait till the It's for the Boys blog hop next month to see the finished top.

Which brings me to the awesome giveaway. Samm, over at Sew We Quilt, has come up with a great way to SAY what her blog is all about. In three simple words... SEW and SHOW! As many of you know, Samm has been having great blog hops all year long. There are many I don't join in, so if you want to catch them all, make sure you follow SewWeQuilt.com.

And if you pop over here you can make a comment, be a follower, tell others,  and blog about this fun place for up to 8 chances to win $250 to spend!!  WOW, and if you join in or comment on the blog hops each month, you always have a chance of winning some great prizes too. Plus you see a ton of great eye candy.

Ok, back to sewing...

Oh, I can not WAIT to see that quilt! Such fun fabrics! Our boy was Dino crazy at that age too, but I wasn't a quilter, although I did make him Dino jammies and a couple of shirts.

Great big boy fabrics, Ms Dorian! Looking forward to seeing what you are sewing. Sometimes "winging it" makes the very best quilts ... :)
