I think Fall is here to stay. Things have cooled off and we got our first rain of the season, feels SO good!
I haven't been doing much in the sewing room though. Working on my bear paw blocks, but very slowly, have only been getting 2 a week done.
My good friend Pat suggested brown for sashing, to imply trees. I thought that was just perfect, but the only brown I have is this one, and I think it's too dark.
What do you all think? Should it be a bit lighter? My bear is going to be shades of brown too. Hmmm...
I hope you've all been getting more sewing done than me. LOL
Have a great day.
Linking up with Lorna.

I like all these different shades of brown and gold. It's going to be an awesome quilt...and I think I'm getting less sewisng done than you l.o.l.
The paws are gorgeous in these autumn leaves colours!
The brown Background looks very dark indeed... maybe more a hazelnutty brown ?
Love from Belgium !
Beautiful Bear Paw blocks. The fall colors really shine. Because of that, I think you could use that really dark brown, it makes a nice frame for the blocks.
This is so great in the fall colors! Have you tried a dark green for the sashing? That would look great with all the colors and would be nice with the brown bear. Looking great so far!
These blocks look beautiful together and sew striking, my friend. I like the dark sashing and you know I am not usually a fan of dark settings. I like it much better than the print you had in an earlier photo. I am not sure how the dark your brown bear will be, though. Maybe a lighter brown (or scrappy shades of brown with the lighter brown near the darkest bear paw colors and bear) ??? How about a photo of the bear fabrics on the brown? I find sometimes if I take audition photos of the possible combinations and study them while I sew the blocks that it helps me decide. What color are you thinking for the binding?
I do love your WIP and am looking forward to seeing what you decide ... :) Pat
Wish you were closer - I have a whole bin filled to the brim with browns that you could audition for sashing. I like the brown, but I'd try a few others and see if something else catches your eye. Like you, there hasn't been much time for sewing lately. Still, you're making progress and every stitch counts!
And to go along with your fall subject, the bear paws look just like fall foliage!
I like it! Keeps the focus on those beautiful fabrics used to make the paws and make them shine!
I really like the black, it makes the colors pop.
I like Maris suggestion of a darker green and leave the brown for the bear
