Tips and Tutorial linky party

Hello Everyone,

I hope you all had a great Summer. I'm hoping that with some cooler weather and fires being put out (hopefully they will be soon!), that I'll get back more into quilting and blogging.

Lea Anne, from Podunk Pretties , has a fun new linky party, with prizes! Tips and tutorials, big or small, old or new.

So I thought I'd start off with my most popular post of all,  The Lone Star Tutorial. Click on the link and it will take you right to my post.

The Lone star is one of my favorite blocks. These stars are just so neat and can be made in a variety of different color variations. Having only a few colors and making the block small, or having lots of colors and making it really big.

Pressing your seams and keeping your strips nice and straight is really important, as you are dealing with the bias edges, which often like to stretch.

I hope my tutorial is helpful to you. Thank you Lea Anne, for a fun linky party.

It's been a year!!

Wow, what a quick years it's been too. I can't believe I've been blogging that long. Thank you my faithful followers, the ones that have been with me all along, and the new ones too. I'm happy you've been enjoying my posts.

I haven't been doing much sewing this past week. It was cloudy, cold, rainy and even a bit snowy, you would think that would get me into the sewing room. But I haven't had a new project, and can't do any quilting right now..as I don't have any batting....although I have been messing with some scraps, developing a project in my mind.

I thought it would be fun to see what my most popular posts have been this past year. So here are the top five post.

My Lone Star tutorial is a HUGE hit! I'm so happy there are so many of you using it. I know there is at least one flikr group out there, that is using it for making swap blocks :) How cool! I hope it helps you Ladies.

Second in line is my Set In Seams tutorial, which goes along with the lone star, so that makes sense ;)

Third, my Art tote bag, this is a neat bag. Both my teens enjoy theirs a great deal. We all enjoy drawing in this family, and my dd also enjoys writing short stories. So we go thru the paper and pencils.

Fourth, Quilt-as-you-go table runner that I made using a Fandango charm pack.

And the fifth most popular post is the Signature quilt I designed. There is also pictures of my FQ bag I designed, on the same post.

Again, I want to thank all of you for being part of blogging land. What a fun, rewarding place on the internet. I've met lost of great Ladies this past year! Thank you!
