Hello all,
It's time for another mystery quilt weekend, over at the Q&N.
You can find the fabric requirements and general info on the Q&N blog or head over the shop to sign up.
And if you do sign up and buy the pattern, please come on over to the Q&N forum and join us next weekend as we do this mystery together. Then stick around and have some fun all thru the year with us.
If you've never done a mystery quilt from Jess, you REALLY need to do one! They are always a great pattern, and always fun to share how it's going, get tips and color inspiration from other quilters too.
This one is mine from Dec 2011, done in Terrain fabrics. You can buy the pattern over at Quilt Woman, or just get a hold of Jess.
I haven't been doing any quilting this week!! We've been working on getting a schedule down for school/chores/nap/etc. So hopefully I can get some sewing in this week.
Have a great day all.

My GF's Grandbaby quilt
Hello Everyone,
Did you have a good weekend? It's been busy here, with a house full of sick kids all last week. Thankfully, everyone is on the mend, except my poor Sweetie, he has the kids' cold now.
My good friend Carol's dd, finally received her baby quilt that I made with some Hunky Dory fabrics. I blogged about it here.
Pinwheels...
And boxes....
Here is the finished quilt.
Cute pinwheels for a sweet little girl.
~~~~
I spent some time yesterday fussy cutting up my I spy blocks. I still need to order my solid colors for this quilt.
Have a great day all.
Fabric therapy....AND some quiting
Hello out there,
Hope you all are enjoying the end of Summer. This time of year is blackberry season for us. I've got about 25 pints of jam made and 4 quarts of plain berries canned. Thats a nice start :)
Isaiah has been going thru a growth spurt...which means middle of the night feedings (which he hasn't done in a few months)...but it also means I can do a little of this...aaahhhh...
Since I don't have more Flora, and not enough of the matching white to make this quilt bigger; but I do have backing and batting. I decided to just start quilting while I had the chance :)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I haven't boughten fabric in awhile, so have had fun buying these this past week.
Some great vehicles....
And some fun animals...
Believe it or not, these are all going in the same quilt.
Along with this Ten Little Things panel and a few prints from the Jungle Bungle charm pack.
Isaiah loves vehicles and animals...I thought about adding some other various things..ballons, shapes, etc...but I think I'll stick with vehicles and animals this time, I don't want it to get to clustered.
And what kind of quilt will large scale vehicles, and large and small scale animals fit...
An "I spy" one of course! LOL. I've been having so much fun coming up with my own version of this I spy quilt. I still need to get the background fabrics and some solids though, before I start. These ones here are half yard cuts, so they'll be plenty for the I spy quilt and some other fun little projects.
Hope you've had some fun quilting/piecing/sewing going on.
