It is the reason I gave up cross stitch and started machine quilting, but I like hand work more! I have been getting away from so much computer and that helps too.Miss Hillbillyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13422851284570747539noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5994401506060384295.post-46948586840906221422012-06-17T10:03:39.872-07:002012-06-17T10:03:39.872-07:00Looks great to me....once you get it all done up i...Looks great to me....once you get it all done up it will look fantastic.Barbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06622919657309096651noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5994401506060384295.post-67473359695680964302012-06-17T07:18:17.341-07:002012-06-17T07:18:17.341-07:00If you have a very large hoop -- one that will be ...If you have a very large hoop -- one that will be larger than the area you are quilting, I would suggest hooping the layers together "backwards". You have to do it so that the fabric is flat against the surface of the machine, basically the inside hoop is on top & the outside hoop would be on the flannel side. This gives you enough taughtness to prevent most of the puckering.

Check first if you can wiggle the hoop under the foot. Sometimes there isn;t enough clearance.

MariMariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02039161862084931413noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5994401506060384295.post-89926391079113424832012-06-17T06:21:13.546-07:002012-06-17T06:21:13.546-07:00Dorian I can empathize with your hand problem sinc...Dorian I can empathize with your hand problem since I have arthritis in my hands. Some days are better than others and I'm so glad for those days! I did needle turn for a long time but came to enjoy the starch method because the stitching itself was so much easier and faster.
